NOTE: History of Chatham - p. LXXXVII: When her husband Thomas was murdered, Ruth was left with three sons. She was pregnant with her fourth son, Thomas, when her husband was killed. The baby was born 3 May 1773 about six months after his father died. Ruth died at her son Simeon Crowell's home in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, August 31, 1827. Her life was one of trials and privations, by poverty and ill health, but she was sustained and comforted by her religion, having made a public confession when about 20 years of age. Her baptism by sprinkling in infancy being unsatisfactory to her, she was immersed as a believor in Christ when about 80 years old and ever after seemed to enjoy great peace of mind.

Ruth Myrick was born before 19 September 1725 at Harwich, Massachusetts.
